I could not believe that this was a photograph. I looks like a painting with the whites, blacks and greys. But as I looked closer, I could see the snow piled up on the branches of the tree.

This photo was taken in black and white. It has to be. It is the only way I can think of that keeps the blue from showing up on the snow. But the composition is ethereal yet bleak. It give off purity with the cold reality of the world to be overcome. I can see danger in these trees as they bow under the weight of the snow. It is a harbinger of things to come.

I really enjoy looking at this photograph. It is a winter wonderland that is frozen in time. and the more I look the more I can see.
